Who Benefits From The Compact's Activities?

Students are exposed to real life experiences with career opportunities. An education seasoned with work experience will give students ideas to consider for the future and motivate them to graduate and even seek further educational opportunities.

Businesses play an active role in preparing their future work force. By lending their expertise, business leaders assist educators in relating academic and positive school experiences to the world of work. Benefits also include a positive public image and enhanced employee morale as the community applauds the social conscience of participating businesses. Parents benefit from the larger base of positive role models. The parents' role as mentor and guide extends to business and community leaders. Together they become partners in encouraging children and strengthening their self-image by taking an active interest in their lives.
Community agencies multiply the support for and impact of their programs. Through the COMPACT, agencies find a willing forum of partners with similar goals. Agencies find support from other community leaders who are willing to provide needed assistance and resources. Schools get a tremendous boost from the input of business and community leaders. Classroom studies and activities can be developed to ensure students are learning the skills needed for the future. Active support from the community gives schools unlimited resources from which to draw to motivate students and make the education process meaningful.
Government officials partnered with schools, businesses and community agencies play a key role in shaping the future by gaining a clearer perspective of the community's needs. Through this close involvement with their constituents, our elected officials better represent our community at the local, state and national levels. graduate programs
